CECTAS 5.0

Center of Excellence in Technological Convergence for Food Security 5.0

About us

The Center of Excellence in Advanced Technology Convergence for Food Security (CECTAS 5.0) was created as an innovative response to today’s most pressing challenges: ensuring food security, promoting sustainability, and optimizing resources in an ever-changing world. Inspired by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the 2030 Agenda, CECTAS 5.0 directly addresses hunger (SDG 2) and human well-being (SDG 3), extending its impact to responsible production and consumption (SDG 12) and climate action (SDG 13).

From production to consumption, these tools ensure traceability, quality, and sustainability, enabling disruptive solutions to tackle global issues such as malnutrition and climate change.

Sustainable Future for Everyone

The center’s approach includes comprehensive solutions such as precision nutrition, circular economy, and gamification to promote healthy habits. In line with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), we are committed to halving per capita food waste by 2030. Our mission is to transform food systems into a resilient, sustainable, and equitable model.
